What is it with Sundays anyways? Once again, yesterday turned out to be one entire day filled with the thrill of never knowing what would break next. Fortunately, this time they were all minor problems but still, it makes you wonder... And then, there's Monday. Most people hate Mondays. For them it is the day when they must return to work after enjoying two days of rest, commonly known as the "weekend". For us circus weirdos (and a good part of the entertainment community as well), Monday is the one day off, the one day of the week when we can stay home and sleep late. Until somebody with a different concept of what Monday should be decides to test the fire alarm system early in the morning!
Granted that they used music instead of that annoying siren sound which would make anybody want to run out of the building naked, fire or not. Still, this was not without reminding me of the building we were inhabiting during our San Francisco run last year. It was still under construction and fire and intercom system tests were almost a daily event. I can still hear it resonating in my brain: "May I have your attention please, may I have you attention please, this is only a test". Sometimes it would last for half an hour and those guys didn't have the kindness to use music...
